Renārs Varslavāns joined Auda after terminating his contract with Valmiera, which had not obtained a licence. LPFA backed the player's right to change clubs, pointing to the club's unkept promises and late salary payments. The LFF Player Status and Transfer Commission awarded Valmiera compensation, but far less than the club had claimed.
