About LPFA
A footballers' association working in footballers' interests
The Latvian Professional Footballers Association (LPFA) is an independent association representing the interests of professional and semi-professional footballers.
LPFA's principal objective is to protect the employment rights and professional interests of footballers — both in Latvia and for Latvian footballers playing abroad.
The association was established through a joint initiative of Latvian footballers and professionals from the legal and financial sectors. That combination is our strength: players know the problems that arise in the dressing room and in contract negotiations, while professionals help to resolve them competently and in line with the applicable regulations.
LPFA is not a football agency or intermediary. We do not represent players in transfers for commercial interests — we represent footballers as professionals, and their rights.
What we focus on
- Protecting footballers' employment rights and professional interests
- Guidance on contracts, payments and disciplinary matters
- Support in disputes with clubs in Latvia and abroad
- Collective representation of footballers and voicing their views
- Informing players about their rights and football regulations

Our values

Photo: Latvian Football Federation (LFF) Unity
The collective strength of footballers. When players speak with one voice, their interests cannot be ignored — whatever the club, league or country.

Photo: Latvian Football Federation (LFF) Voice
A place where footballers can raise concerns and influence professional standards. We bring the players' perspective to those who make decisions in football.

Mutual support and collective action against unfair practices. No footballer should be left alone with their problem.
